Thursday Morning Mixed League 9:30am called "Free Lunch League". They work it like a package, 9 holes w/cart plus group lunch including soda or beer $13 golf league price + $8 cart + $6 lunch w/soda, draft beer or coffee, plus tip + $1 in hat to see who gets the free lunch. Fun, fun, usually all done by 12:45 or 1pm. Different formats played each week & they mix up the foursomes, Call the Pro Shop for more information 792-4144
Friday Night Scramble: Check in varies depending on season, generally by 5pm, teams picked and shotgun start immediately after. Open to the public, 9 holes w/cart special price of $20. + $10 goes in prize fund. Draws a huge crowd, "A" players are captains and the rest of the teams are picked from a hat in front of everyone. You are not committed to every week but many come every week. They pay skins & winning teams 1st, 2nd and so on depending on number of players. It's fun.

Dedicated to celebrating American composers of the past and present, this year's festival will take place 8 Monday Evenings at 8 pm on center stage in Luzerne's newly expanded and renovated Performance Lodge.
Performers include: the Luzerne Trio (July 7); Skidmore's Joel Brown & Anthony Holland (July 14); Luzerne's Resident Chamber Players (July 21); Matt Herskowitz Trio (July 28); the Luzerne Chamber Players (August 4); Biava String Quartet (August 11); the Luzerne Chamber Players (August 18); and Red Violinist Elizabeth Pitcairn (August 25).
American composers celebrated include: Charles Martin Loeffler; William Grant Still; Anthony Holland; Gunther Schuller; George Rochberg; George Gershwin; David Brubeck; Eric Ewazen; George Crumb; Paul Schoenfield; and Amy Beach.
Summer 2008 will also include a Gala Benefit by internationally renowned solo violinist MIDORI, on July 15th at 8 pm (see other events listings), and a special NEA-sponsored residency & appearance by American composer George Crumb with Juilliard's Biava String Quartet, in the performance of "Black Angels" for electric string quartet (August 11).
Season subscriptions are $100/8 concerts & $60/4 concerts. Single tickets are $20/adult and $10/student under 18. Pre-concert dinners are available for $12/person, at 7 pm. Reservations recommended.

On Thursday, July 24th, New York Long-Term Care brokers, Clifton Park, NY, is hosting its’ 12th Annual Golf Tournament with the proceeds to benefit The Double H Hole in the Wall Ranch, for critically ill children, in Lake Luzerne, NY. The Tournament will be held at Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park and will be a 18 hole best ball scramble.
